I am an artist, curator and writer based in Scotland. I have over a decade's worth of professional experience working in the visual arts sector in Scotland.
Within my own artistic practice, I primarily work with analogue photography, as well as found/archival imagery, text and sound. I have exhibited my work internationally and throughout Scotland since graduating from The Glasgow School of Art in 2015.
Over the course of my career, I have worked closely with emerging and established artists from a range of disciplines on exhibitions and events, whilst also maintaining my own independent curatorial and artistic practice. I recently curated an exhibition to mark the centenary of the notable Scottish artist Ian Hamilton Finlay and I have served as assistant curator on nationally significant monographic retrospective exhibitions by Victoria Morton, Bet Low, Sandra George and Oscar Marzaroli, amongst several other exhibitions and projects since 2016.
My critical writing has been published in several books and journals, including NOTES and Studies in Photography, as well as by the renowned international publishing house Steidl. I have written extensively on the work of Robert Frank and organised the Scottish premiere of Laura Israel's acclaimed documentary 'Don't Blink' at the Centre for Contemporary Art (Glasgow) in 2017.
