Points of Conflict examines a range of themes and interests around memory, history and heritage. Much of the work explores these ideas by analysing collective cultural experiences; beginning with works in relation to my hometown of Bellshill, Lanarkshire and Scottish history and identity in general. By exploring trace elements of both real and imagined histories; and through the use of vernacular language and materials, the work seeks out points of cultural conflict and forgotten or imagined histories - of things that were once there and what is left.
